Introducing: Palette of the Month Club
In addition to the Field of Visions free newsletter, I am moved to bring forth a new addition to this project, an exclusive way for me to offer to you my best and most vibrant work.
When I began my substack almost three years ago, it was (and still is) with the intention to bring words to the lessons, challenges, and insights creative practice can offer. I do this to tell a story about how art-making connects to a deep experience of self, and to verbalize aspects of being an artist that I find to be very human, as a way of connecting with others.
As my own practice grows, I am finding fresh inspiration for what more I can share and offer through my work, and for ways to be engaged regularly.
What is it, and what’s in it for you?
Palette of the Month Club is a monthly discovery of natural, foraged color. In addition to the FUN BENEFITS for you (see below), each month I will create a palette of 3-5 hand made paints or inks using botanical, mineral or urban/household/waste stream pigments that I consciously forage through building relationship with each material. I will send full documentation of my process, recipes, and meaningful stories about my conversations with the beings-as-materials and people-as-places I discover. These posts and benefits are available exclusively to paid subscribers.
✷ Action required to join! ✷
This offering is for paid subscribers only with a promise it will offer value*
*Read about the benefits below!
Subscriber benefits:
For a low but very supportive commitment of $6 a month, you will receive many benefits!
MONTHLY PAINTING GIVEAWAY (!!!)
Each month, one lucky paid subscriber will be randomly selected to receive an original, one-of-a-kind painting made with the Palette of the Month, signed, dated, and shipped to you free of charge.
EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNTS ON ORIGINAL ART
As a subscriber, you will enjoy 20% off my original paintings when I release a series, and on commissions when I open them.
RECIPES, PROCESS, STORY
Each month you will receive a special subscriber-only email with my process, recipes, and stories about my relationship with the pigments. This may hopefully inspire you to see things around you differently, discover magic alongside me, and maybe even try for yourself! Since this is behind a paywall, I will also share vulnerably with any challenges that are inevitable to arise and be really up front about my process, failures included. You may also ask me any questions you would like.
NON-TRADITIONAL SUPPORT
As a subscriber, you will be directly supporting my art practice in a radical way that truly makes a difference in my ability to be a working artist in a non-traditional manner. Your contribution helps me give vibrantly, not only to myself, but generously to others!
ABUNDANT GENEROSITY
If you select the “abundant generosity” option, that extra portion ($3.00 per month) will go toward non-profit organizations supporting activism to combat climate change. I will decide on a different org each month and share it with you. This will be part of my practice researching and spreading awareness about climate change and a way for us to all give.
ACCOUNTABILITY
This is more of a benefit to me, but your subscription will literally keep me going. I thrive when I have accountability and something to look forward to sharing regularly and with deadlines. It also helps my materials stay rooted in time.

A welcome post will go out on the Solstice, and the first palette and painting giveaway will happen in July! If you are already a paid subscriber, thank you! Now you get a lot of extra fun stuff coming your way.
From the bottom of my heart,
It would mean the world to me if you considered joining this adventure with me and/or sharing it with someone who you think would enjoy it by forwarding this email or sharing:
P.S. I love the word “palette”. When you break it down to “pal”, as in a friend, and “ette”, as in a small version of something, then palette translates to “little friend”.
With gratitude,
- Kristen
